Silver Sage Farm and Flowers is a small organically minded farm and greenhouse/garden center located in Port Wing WI in the northwestern corner of Bayfield County.
We offer a wide variety of vegetables, herbs, flowers and fruits. Raspberries and blue berries-organic (grown in accordance) are available for you pick in season. Our extensive flower gardens provide color the whole growing season.
Though we are not certified organic, our crops are grown according to sustainable and organic practices.
The greenhouse opens May 1 offering an interesting array of bedding plants, both annual and perennial. We specialize in northern hardy flower, vegetable, and herb plants. Come and enjoy the beautiful gardens and water features. There are two small ponds and the greenhouse also offers water plants.
We grow a spectacular assortment of flowers for floral arrangements, including herbs, grasses and decrotive folage plants. The quality is superior to commercially grown and much healthier for the environment and for you.
Silver Sage Farm is a founding producer member of the Chequemegon CSA. CSA or community supported agriculture is a weekly suscription for a share of fresh, in season, vegetables, fruits, herbs and sometimes flowers. Our CSA has been serving Ashland, Bayfield, and Douglas counties for 14 years and last year we delivered produce to 48 families. The unique thing about the Chequemegon CAS is that it is a colaberation of 5 farms, all with our own set of growing conditions and specialties. Two of us have extensive greenhouses where crops are grown in the ground and so provide produce much earlier than if grown without frost protection.
